Nikon D800 loose reflex mirror or D800 mirror fell out
The Nikon D800 main reflex mirror is correctly glued onto the mirror frame at 11 points, but we just got one in for repair where the mirror came loose from the 11 glue points. This was a flash back for us and it reminded us about the Canon 5D mirror issue. The Canon 5D mirror was secured with 4 glue points and we had hundreds of customers over a 5 yr period where the mirror came loose from the mirror frame. So we were shocked to see this D800, glued at 11 points come loose. this maybe a unique repair, or we may see more of these mirror come loose.
